Tasks and responsibilities
As a Supervisor you will manage Team Leader(s) and Warehouse employees, and are responsible for achieving all department objectives.
- Achieve departmental objectives
- Analyze departmental results
- Improve productivity and efficiency
- Make improvement proposals to improve services and increase customer satisfaction
- Minimize errors and shorten lead times
- Conduct consultations within and outside the department
- Act as point of contact for both the internal organization and suppliers related to the department
- Lead, coach, train and motivate the Teamleaders
- Coach and motivate the team and train new employees
- Work in a continuous process improvement environment within our network organization
- Report to the Warehouse Manager
Profile
- MBO+ / HBO working and thinking level
- Demonstrable experience in managing large groups
- Good knowledge of logistics processes
- Good knowledge of warehouse management system (preferably WMi)
- Good communication skills and positive attitude
- Strong leadership skills and able to motivate a team
- Decisive, problem‑solving skills
- Analytical skills
- Excellent knowledge and command of Dutch and English languages both verbally and in writing
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of 5S and Lean Six Sigma
- Flexible and stress‑resistant and able to work overtime in (and if necessary out xgiwjmb of) season
- Willingness to work in the evening shift (15:00 – 00:00)
