The leading Dutch IT consultancy is seeking a Security & Network Engineer on behalf of their client in the petrochemical and energy sector for a freelance role based in Haaksbergen. Grasp the opportunity to work across both IT and OT domains, shaping how a business-critical environment is secured and connected.
Responsibilities
- Resolve complex incidents and implement changes across the network and security estate.
- Design solutions and lead technical projects from end to end.
- Drive migrations and cloud-based network management initiatives.
- Assess concepts for feasibility, risk, and cost, translating them into practical plans.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders, engineers, and external suppliers.
- Ensure solutions are properly designed, tested, and documented.
- Manage supplier relationships and maintain service continuity.
Skills/Must Have
- At least 5 years of experience in a comparable role.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure, cloud security, ExpressRoute, and BGP.
- Solid experience with Zero Trust Network Access and SASE.
- Demonstrable experience with IT/OT segmentation.
- Experience with VMware, Nutanix, Aruba Wi‑Fi, switches, ClearPass, and Aruba Central.
- Check Point experience is a bonus.
- Fluent in both Dutch and English.

Salary
