About the Department: The Product Technical Services (PTS) offers an active and continuous contribution to the communication between the commercial and technical departments within Apollo Tyres EU. We focus on providing technical support to the sales force and feedback of market information to the production plants and R&D. The PTS department has 2 teams:
- The Senior Product Specialists take care that the “Voice of the customer” related to technical aspects are transferred to R&D and the production plants.
- The Technical Helpdesk is the central point for internal & external customer connect for providing technical information. They also take care of training organization and returning complaint tyres from the market to our Re-inspection Centre (RiC).
Purpose of the Job: As our Product Specialist Trainee, with an engineering background, you will be engaged in the daily operations of PTS. You will need to support the Senior Product Specialists in the preparation of technical reports or creation of new training content and hands-on assistance of the Technical Helpdesk. An important key function in this role is to bring digitalization to a higher level. This will result in a better and more consistent service to our internal and external stakeholders. You will be based in our plant in Enschede and have a direct report line to one of our Senior Product Specialists.
The trainee program is laid out as below:
- Month 1-4: gain knowledge on the first product line, understand current dashboard and get trained on Power BI
- Month 5-8: gain knowledge on the second product line, maintain current reporting tools
- Month 9-12: gain knowledge on the third product line, maintain and develop the reporting tools
Major Responsibilities:
Drive digitalization projects within PTS
- Develop and maintain consistent Power BI dashboards for tyre-related complaints.
- Guide implementation of new IT applications (e.g. new tyre info tool)
Support Senior Product Specialists
- Prepare technical reports as part of daily work management (DWM) or ad-hoc reports
- Support in the development of a framework for training modules and creation of new content.
Support Technical Helpdesk
- Support in providing technical information to account managers, customer care specialists, dealers, or end-users
- Ad-hoc requests
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferably with an Automotive background
- Affinity with IT systems. Good knowledge of MS Office applications
- Basic experience in building reporting dashboards, such as Power BI, is an advantage
- Service-oriented and result-driven mindset
- Attention to detail, while maintaining a good level of flexibility and teamwork.
