Objective of the assignmentLegislation is an important topic within our department, and regulatory requirements are becoming increasingly strict. At the same time, these tests are complex and costly to perform. As a result, test method development continuously focuses on optimising existing test procedures. Currently, three different snow tests are used: a traction test and a braking test (both required for legislation), as well as a combined traction and braking test used internally. The objective of this assignment is to investigate whether a correlation can be established between the internal combined test and the legislated traction test. Furthermore, the assignment aims to assess whether the current testing equipment is suitable for this purpose or if additional or alternative equipment is required.
