Your responsibilities
As a QHSE Engineer you will have a variety of tasks such as assisting the project and tender departments to make our projects as safe as possible by design. You’ll be responsible for updating and maintaining our management systems, setting up QHSE campaigns, taking part in incident investigations, risk assessments and audits.
You’ll be collaborating with employees of all nationalities and disciplines. DEME’s objective is to provide a healthy work environment, to promote sound work practices and a healthy lifestyle for everyone involved in our business. QHSE is therefore one of our most vital departments and involved in all Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental matters on our projects, vessels, and in HQ. Together we work towards DEME’s vision of creating a sustainable future.
Your profile
• You hold a bachelor or master’s degree in safety science; a specialization in energy management and environmental engineering is an asset.
• Experience in the field of QHSE and/or safety management systems is a plus.
• You have an analytical mind and are able to work accurately.
• You have good communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.
• You are prepared to work abroad or in our HQ in Belgium.
